Hello, we have two current openings.

Event Parking Assistant CURRENTLY OPEN POSITION

We are looking for someone who has experience telling people where to park, keeping cars close enough so the area is used to capacity. The right candidate is available on Saturdays and/or Sundays and has experience directing cars and telling people where to park. This position requires you to be outdoors in our field directing traffic. Pay rate is $15 per hour.

 

Farm Hand/Milker  CURRENTLY OPEN POSITION

We typically milk between 18-22 cows, raise pigs, and care for a small herd of beef cattle. We also grow our own non-GMO alfalfa, hay, and corn. This is a great opportunity to learn about sustainable farming, support local agriculture, and help a 5th generation family farm expand.  This position requires a very dependable person, as the animals will count on you for feeding, milking, and other care including weekends and holidays. Must have the ability to work independently, learn on the job,  and be passionate about providing our community with natural healthy food choices. Experience milking and/or working with farm animals is preferred, but we will train the right candidate.
Responsibilities include:
- Milking Cows and letting them in and outside
- Cleaning milking parlor, milk room, and tank
- Feeding and bedding dairy cows, calves and pigs
- Basic maintenance and cleaning

- Must pay attention to detail, be able to follow strict cleanliness regulations

- Must be willing to get dirty and smelly, be kind to our animals, and work with a joyful heart, as the energy our animals experience is important to us.

- At times, other tasks will be required, such as cleaning, filling milk jugs for the store, mowing the grass, doing some light landscape maintenance.

Pay rate is $15 for the first 30 days and as training progresses, increases, until the candidate can work independently, at which tie the pay rate will be $17/hour.

Creamery Position CURRENTLY OPEN

Creamery Position is on Mondays and some Thursdays about 1:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Responsibilities include:

-Sanitizing and filling containers with raw milk

-Flavor and package our small batch Greek yogurt, cheese, and cheese curds

-Label and date all packaging

Pay rate is $15 for the first 30 days and as training progresses, increases, until the candidate can work independently, at which tie the pay rate will be $17/hour.

Requirements for both positions include:

  • Able to lift 40 lbs, follow detailed instructions and pay attention to details

  • Strong communication skills

  • Have a clean driving record

  • Be able to stand for 7 1/2 hours

  • Be available to work mornings, evenings, weekends & holidays as needed

  • Work independently

  • Follow all cleanliness requirements
