A Few of Our Local Vendors

Part of our mission is to support local small businesses. This page highlights some of the vendors we support by providing them shelf space in a store setting. Some of them have an Etsy shop, some a Facebook page, and some sell on FB Marketplace or have a website. Each is unique and we are happy to spread the word about them here, on our Facebook, and on our Instagram. It has been a joy to get to know these business owners.

Sweets & Seasonings from the Heart

Woman owned business. After getting Chronic Lyme Disease I had to change how I eat and think about food. I love baking and couldn't eat all that sugar but wanted an outlet to continue baking, as I find it therapeutic. Hence, the sweets part. Most of the seasonings found in stores today have ingredients I don't want to eat: natural flavorings (usually unnamed chemicals found in plants), anti-caking agents, high sodium, MSG, heavy metals, even lead. When available, my seasoning ingredients are organic and from within the U.S.A. With everything being made in small batches it's easy to control batch ingredients and change labels to indicate Organic, Grown in USA, etc.

He tends to the bees, winters everything, gathers honey and honey comb, treats the hives when necessary, makes infused honey and bees wax candles. The hives are taste of this honey brings one back in time to when real food tasted amazing.
